Ok, I know I'm taking the wimpy way out by using an online guestbook, but in the choice to put the scripts together or continue the pursuit of great pictures, I have stuck with the pictures. So please indulge me and sign it anyway and let me know you are following along. In an effort to keep your e-mail address safe from the spam machines, I'll be copying the entries onto this page from the guestbook without e-mail addresses, but make sure to leave it for me so I can write you back! The guestbook has a 500 character limit - so if you want to send something longer, e-mail it to me, I'll put it in by hand!

Browsing thru the pictures & journal I felt an instant communion with my land (India) as described& recognition with the Nepalese terrain as I knew it (I have visited Pokhara). I have managed a few trips on my own but I belong to a traditional society, where the courage & permission to explore the world doesn't come easy. U have nurtured your site like a work of art. May your Karma, help u reach your destinations; meet people from all around the globe & make friends for life - I hope to be one of them.

I happen to know a Taiwanese Rene Rakhorst. She was my roommate in Taiwan. She had just been on a long
independent trek through India, Vietnam, and I think Cambodia the year before, and wants to start a business so that she can travel again whenever she wants. She's also very single! :) Let me know if you have plans of going back to Taiwan....
BTW, I'm looking at INSEAD soon too. Maybe I'll see you there. Small world. Great website!

I am back home (to Amsterdam) after 5 weeks in India, trying to get some stuff sorted. As soon as I develop my
films - I can send you few best pics if I have your e-mail. I also hope that your travel is going OK - are you still in India or somewhere else already? - Cheers, Max

Hi, great picture and obvious improvements along the way! enjoyed some people close-ups in the later photos.
It would be nice if some photos of daily life aspects specific to the local culture can be taken: foods, interior of
the houses,..etc. Just a thought :) Look forward to your photos of Chile!

ps. there are some broken links on your gallery pages ex: Image 7239-Free Tibet is not showing up. ps. if there is a link to the gallery selector on the right panel of each gallery, it would be more convenient for the viewers to browse to other galleries after viewing the present one. (Thanks for the suggestion! Change made! - Mike)

Mike was and still is one of my best friends, if not THE BEST. ADVENTURES :Suffice it to say, it usually
involved some damn woman, a damn water event, and me still not getting laid. Can you say wingman? At any
rate, I look forward to another fun year with my family. Gods willing. Kevin Patrick – the not so
adventuresome as Mike….well kids are an adventure unto themselves so I have him there. Always a
competition between us, as with most brothers. Be Good.

bodies, and lands.Take care my friend.

A few days ago on discovery channel, I saw a guy tracking a big tiger in the forest of Bengal, he was riding on an elephant to enjoy watching the big cat instead of on a jeep to protect himself or scare the animals (i had this kind of impression for African jungle)...so i think it's really cool and you might be interested to see the most famous animal of India in this way. Good luck and take care, i don't wish you to be eaten!

Hey, read from another guestbook entry that there is a "bloody 500 character limit" on this, so even if I want to indulge, will have to keep it short and sweet :) It's wonderful that you are taking a break and seeing the world on a bike. I wish I have the guts to travel around the world on my own, since I am too chicken to do it, I will follow your travels closely and imagine myself doing what you are doing..... Stay healthy and have fun!!

Mike, How annoying to write up a long entry for your guestbook only to be told on delivery that there's a bloody 500 character limit! ;-0 After using Microsoft Word's character count feature & realizing I was going to have to cut what I'd written by 70%, I figured what the hell; I'll just post the entry on my site & link to it. Ni haw ma? One of these days you ought to try exploring the head waters of the Amazon river! We took a 15 day cruise from Ft Lauderdale 1000 miles up the Amazon to Manuas Dec 15, 2003. It was a great trip but not as rugged as yours to India. My father was born in Goa but I've never been there. I'm told Goa is a "paradise". Check it out. I have relatives there but have been out of touch for a long time. Hope you continue safe & sound. Regards,
Eric
